Sometimes I am inclined to believe that given the timing of
your birth and your surroundings plus your innate psychology,
your future is already all set. There is such a thing as being born
in the right time and place. Some people win TOTO, some dont. It
gets depressing when I think about it. But life goes on. For
instance, we dont get to choose our parents. I do envy people who
were born into parents living at Sentosa Cove for example. So
fortunate. Then I saw a couple in Tanjong Pagar Plaza with 2
daughters. 1 was spastic cannot walk, the other was normal. Then I
look at myself. Be grateful for whatever I have. Its not the best
or fastest or richest, but at least its normal.
Dont feel too bad TCL. I recently met a SMRT cabby who got
a younger brother making 25K as an accountant. He laments himself
as a cabby. Same mother but different fates. Life can be cruel isnt
it.
